At Saltor Talent, we successfully led the search process for the General Manager for a highly prestigious family hotel group. From the headquarters, located in Spain, we were asked to carry out a search to find a person to lead the group towards its next phase of growth and transformation.

1. What was the challenge?

Our client, a family-owned hotel group with a strong reputation in the industry, was at an important moment in its development. General Management was required to not only maintain operational excellence and customer satisfaction, but also drive innovation and process improvement in a highly competitive industry. It was essential to find a figure who could balance tradition and family values with a modern, growth-oriented strategic vision.

2. What did we do and how did we do it?

First, we carried out a detailed analysis of the national and international hotel market, identifying companies of similar size and structure.

We identified more than 80 potential profiles and conducted interviews with most of them, following a rigorous and unbiased process using our proprietary assessment methodology. Throughout the process, we maintained constant communication with the Group Property.

Finally, we presented our client with 3 finalist candidates, all of them with an outstanding track record in the management of hotel groups, in-depth knowledge of operations, and a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams.

3. The Final Solution

After a careful evaluation of the external applications submitted by Saltor Talent, the hotel group decided to advance to the final phase with one of the profiles. After several rounds of interviews and reference checks, it was decided to extend an offer to one of the candidates, who accepted and joined the group.

The key to success in this project was the initial identification of profiles in the hotel sector both nationally and internationally, and the search for profiles with a comprehensive strategic vision, strong leadership skills and an ability to create trusting relationships with the property.
