At Saltor Talent, we have successfully led the search process for the General Directorate of Corporate Services for a large family business in the pharmaceutical sector. From the headquarters, located in Catalonia, we were asked to carry out a search to find a person to lead the company towards its next phase of growth and transformation.
1. What was the challenge?
Our client, a family business with a solid reputation in the pharmaceutical sector, is at an important moment, with a strategic plan for strong growth and expansion in the coming years. The General Directorate of Corporate Services had to not only maintain the existing operational excellence, but also accompany the organization to make a significant leap in size and structure.
Furthermore, it was essential to find a figure who could understand family values, and at the same time transform and provide a growth-oriented vision.
2. What did we do and how did we do it?
Initially, we carried out an exhaustive analysis of the pharmaceutical market both nationally and internationally, focusing on identifying companies with similar characteristics and challenges.
From there, we conduct a series of rigorous interviews with shortlisted candidates, using our assessment methodology to ensure objective selection. We maintained close collaboration with the Company’s Property and People Management throughout the process, ensuring that each step was aligned with their expectations and needs.
At the end of this phase, we present to our client several finalist candidates, all of them providing experience in the different departments integrated within corporate services, as well as knowledge of the sector, international experience, and experience in managing large teams.
3. The final solution
After a detailed evaluation of the applications submitted, the company selected one of the candidates to advance to the final phase. This process included multiple rounds of interviews and extensive reference checking.
Eventually, an offer was extended to one of the candidates, who accepted and joined the company. The success of this project was due to our ability to initially identify suitable profiles within the pharmaceutical sector, and find candidates with a comprehensive strategic vision, strong leadership skills and the ability to establish trusting relationships with ownership.
