At Saltor Talent, we have successfully carried out the search for a General Management for a family office of an important business group, specialized in real estate investment. in wealth management and strategic investment in different sectors. 

The challenge 

Our client, a leading Family Office, was at a key moment of evolution. With a diversified portfolio of real estate assets, the property sought to professionalize management without losing the long-term vision and family values that have characterized its legacy. 

  • The challenge was twofold: To incorporate a leader with a strategic vision capable of optimizing and diversifying investments in a changing economic environment. 
  • Ensure cultural alignment with the family, guaranteeing efficient management but respectful of the group’s principles and heritage philosophy. 

The position required a profile with a strong knowledge of real estate investments, management of multidisciplinary teams and a great capacity for dialogue with the owner family, financial advisors and strategic partners. 

Our strategy 

To address this quest, we designed an approach based on three key pillars: 

  • Analysis of the Family Office ecosystem.
    We explore profiles with experience in family wealth management, especially in Catalonia. 
  • Analysis of complementary sectorsIn addition to professionals from other family offices.
    We are looking for talent in related sectors: private equity, investment banking and real estate management. 
  • Comprehensive evaluation of leadership and cultural alignment.
    Since success in this type of position not only depends on technical ability, but also on cultural adjustment with the owner family, we apply our usual evaluation methodology to evaluate both the technical fit and other very relevant aspects such as cognitive ability, motivations and personality behaviors. 

The result 

After a structured and rigorous process, we presented three finalist candidacies, all of them with extensive experience in real estate asset management. the 

Finally, the family office selected one of the profiles, mainly and among others, for the following reasons: 

  • Its ability to structure and diversify investments with a prudent but innovative vision. 
  • His experience leading multidisciplinary teams and his close treatment (to facilitate a fluid integration with the family and his advisors)
