At Saltor Talent we have successfully led the search for a Director, Global Product Management for a leading multinational in the technology sector with extensive international presence
The challenge
Our client needed a strategic product leader capable of taking on the management of a mission-critical SaaS platform, with a strong global presence, at a key moment of modernization and scalability.
The main challenges were:
Define and communicate a clear and transformative product vision, which will guide the evolution of a consolidated platform towards a more modern and efficient solution.
Ensure smooth collaboration with the engineering/product development team.
Manage and grow an international team of product managers, initially of 3 people, with the expectation of incorporating new leaders.
Align the product strategy with the needs of customers from very diverse geographies, balancing innovation with operational robustness.
Our strategy
We define an international search approach with four priority axes:
1 – Expertise in complex products and B2B SaaS
We focus on identifying candidates with a track record in global technology environments, accustomed to the scalability, continuous innovation and criticality of consolidated SaaS platforms.
2 – Global product leadership and strategic vision
We evaluate profiles with experience directing international roadmaps, capable of transforming mature platforms, defining a long-term vision and communicating it at different levels (technical stakeholders, C-Level, customers).
3 – Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills and Low Ego
We prioritize candidates with skills to influence and lead in matrix organizations, fostering strong relationships beyond hierarchical leadership.
4 – Growth projection
We analyzed the growth potential, selecting profiles that could grow within the organization and climb to an executive role of greater responsibility.
The result
The process closed with the presentation of a shortlist of highly qualified international profiles.
The person finally selected stood out for:
His career in global product management in B2B SaaS companies, leading international teams in complex environments.
A solid ability to build strategic product vision and, at the same time, execute technological modernization plans.
Their ability to collaborate closely with engineering, acting as a real partner in product development.
Clear potential for progression, supported by your previous experience and inclusive, results-oriented leadership style.
This case reinforces our experience in the search for management profiles in technological environments, capable of transforming mature platforms, aligning international teams and projecting a solid vision of the future in organizations with a wide international presence.
